If We Knew Then, What We Know Now

So you've started your very own business.

  • You’ve received encouraging words from friends and family.
  • You're a natural – and you’re so excited.
  • Congratulations!

But are you really a natural?

  • Do you have a few questions?
  • Are you slightly intimidated by this decision?
  • Do you know how to organize your clients' ..... Garage? Basement? Closet? Kitchen? Or... ???
  • And, what do you do with a Holy Cow Mess?!?!

NAPO Michigan members Kathy Tucker, Cindy Greenleaf and Susan Carmody bring you a combined 30+ years of professional organizing experience and will share some of their "How To’s" with us. Come & listen, laugh and learn from their insights.

About Our Presenters

Kathy Tucker and her business partner Linda Gillies of Finally Organized in Roseville have ‘been in the biz’ for eleven years. Kathy is a natural when it comes to making order out of chaos. Having grown up on a farm with five siblings, one of which has severe special needs, chaos was normal, yet family life was still very organized. Being calm and peaceful is important to Kathy, as she has a tender heart and is able to relate to all generations of clients. Currently, adult children with elderly parents are her niche and she ministers well to the parents who grew up in the depression and WWII. Being able to envision the end product and bring peace to her clients is the main goal of Finally Organized.

“Turning your world from CHAOS to calm” is the motto of Cindy Greenleaf of Inkster, who founded New Leaf Organizing LLC in 2008 as a post retirement career after 37 years of service with the State of Michigan. She believes that organizing is a skill set that is not often taught, but can definitely be learned.

For the last 13 years, Susan Carmody of Canton has been successfully organizing homes and offices for busy households and professionals through her business, Perfectly Placed LLC. Her niche is helping clients sort through their possessions, gently decluttering and finding the best storage solutions – especially closets and shelving. She is a Contained Home Organizer, a partner to the Container Store, who has measured and designed hundreds of beautiful and functional spaces for her clients.

Susan has also earned her NAPO Specialist Certificates for Residential Organizing and Workplace Productivity. As the daughter of an “Over Saver” father who was going to fix every car and do every household project himself, she prides herself on being sensitive to her client’s needs and focuses on what’s really important in life – health & happiness!
