WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Case studies to help us all be prepared.
PLEASE NOTE: Our previously scheduled presentation for the September meeting (Women With ADHD: A Guide for Professional Organizers, presented by Michelle Frank) has been postponed due to an unforeseen circumstance. This presentation will be rescheduled at a future date (TBD) in 2019. Apologies for any inconvenience.
September is National Preparedness Month. As organizers we are usually more prepared than most, but we all get caught off guard at times -- for example when what we heard on the phone from a new client is not what we see when we make the first visit. As organizers, we are expected to take in verbal and visual information and make recommendations that support our client’s goals, often on the spot.
In order to be better prepared, this meeting will focus on situations and strategies. We will break into groups, and each group will be given a case study to read, discuss and recommend strategies. Each group will then present their case study with their recommendations. This is a great way for all levels of organizers to learn on-the-spot problem solving skills via the sharing of different perspectives, ideas, and approaches.
A special thank you to Jane Hale for having a "Plan B" when our original September speaker, Michelle Frank, had to reschedule her presentation. Way to be prepared, Jane!
