What's in YOUR Emergency Kit?

This presentation will provide attendees with the knowledge they need to help their clients and themselves be their best when preparing for the worst. Main topics will include a discussion of emergency situations most often encountered in our region and how to prepare for them, how to “Be Red Cross Ready” by getting an emergency kit, making a communication plan, and staying informed, and a discussion on emergency kit contents and how to use them. The presentation will also include a brief discussion on home fire safety and a fun fire extinguisher demonstration game.

About the Presenter

Megan Albee is an AmeriCorps volunteer with Disaster Cycle Services at the American Red Cross. She has her MPA from West Virginia University and a BA in Anthropology from Ohio State University. Megan has held a variety of teaching and training positions in higher education and nonprofits. She loves volunteering with Disaster Cycle Services and the Red Cross because it gives her the opportunity to be “the best part of someone’s worst day”.

Meeting Cost

Regular Chapter meetings are a benefit of membership for Option 1 Members and Corporate Associate Members.
Guests and Option 2 Members pay $20 at the door. Ask for the Treasurer when you arrive.
