Putting Productivity to Work for You and Your Clients
We have a very special treat in store at our February meeting! Our guests and speakers will be Ellen Faye, NAPO President and Lori Vande Krol, NAPO Professional Member Director. What a huge treat and honor to receive these representatives from the board of our national organization!
For this meeting, we are extending a special invitation to all NAPO members in Michigan. We want everyone to be able to meet and learn from these industry leaders, so we welcome all NAPO members in Michigan ~ including those who are not members of our chapter ~ to attend this meeting at no cost. We simply ask that you sign in as a guest when you arrive. Please note that other guests are also welcome at this meeting for the standard fee of $20.
For this visit, Lori and Ellen will be creating and presenting a program on productivity – for us as organizers to use and to transfer those skills to our clients. Does it ever seem that the project isn’t getting anywhere – but you can’t identify just why it’s only plodding along? Ellen and Lori will help you find out why, what you can do, and how to help your client get enthused again.
In addition, they’ll bring us up to date on all the exciting changes at NAPO – the new website look and feel, new plans and goals for NAPO, the excitement of NAPO’s 2016 Conference in Atlanta, and the status of the member services updates – POINT, the added member benefits, and improved communications at all levels.
They’ll stay for lunch with all of us, and then conduct a leadership development workshop. This workshop is open only to NAPO Southeast Michigan chapter members; all chapter members are welcome. Current board members and those nominated for next year's board are especially encouraged to attend.
The schedule for our regular morning together has been adjusted a bit. We’ll start as usual at 9:30am with networking until 10:00am, have our programs and presentations until 12:30 pm (instead of ending at noon). Then we'll have lunch until 1:30pm so everyone can meet, learn from and share time with Lori and Ellen. (Bring some lunch money!) The leadership workshop will end by 3:00pm.

Ellen Faye is a Productivity, Leadership, and Organizing Coach specializing in time and task management, maximizing technology tools, and helping her clients reach their personal and professional goals. Through her business, Ellen Faye Organization, she offers organizing and coaching services to help her clients create a better quality of life.
Ellen joined NAPO in 2002 and earned the Certified Professional Organizer® (CPO® ) designation in 2007. She is a Certified Organizer Coach® (COC® ) and has earned two certificates of study from the Institute of Challenging Disorganization (ICD). Faye has served on the NAPO Board since 2011 and served as Conference Chair for both the 2010 and 2013 NAPO National Conferences. Her leadership roles with the Greater Philadelphia chapter of NAPO include serving as the Director of Communications and Technology and as chapter Treasurer.

Lori Vande Krol is President of Life Made Simple LLC in Des Moines, IA. As a Certified Productive Environment Specialist, Lori loves to help creative and growing businesses implement and maintain systems to increase productivity. Lori currently serves as a Professional Member Director for NAPO and is the Board Liaison for several committees, including the Information & Research and Statistics Database Committees.
